External wall insulation or EWI, involves fixing a layer of insulation material to the outside face of the wall.
The insulation is then rendered to a finish of your choice. The finish can be smooth, textured, painted, tiled, panelled, pebble-dashed, or finished with brick slips.
External insulation:
