Specifications

The SDNL Loft Hatch is a bespoke solution featuring an inset window, engineered to allow natural light transfer from the loft space while maintaining excellent thermal integrity and airtightness.

Unique Design & Thermal Performance:

• Light Transfer Feature: Designed with an inset polycarbonate window to allow natural light to pass through the loft door from windows, skylights, or clear tiles in the roof, illuminating the area below.
• Window Construction: The insulated door is fully bonded with a 25mm five-layered opaque polycarbonate sheet, featuring a ribbed effect.
• Thermal Rating: Achieves a U Value of 1.6 W/m²K, ensuring thermal efficiency while accommodating the light-transfer element.
• Fire Rating Note: Please note: This product is not fire rated.

Airtightness & Sealing:

• Dual Draught Seal: Features both the primary draught seal between the frame and lid, and an extra concealed draught seal between the frame and ceiling.
• Seal Benefit: This dual-seal system virtually eliminates warm air leakage and vapour ingress, and facilitates easy decoration right up to the edge of the frame.
• Locking System: Fitted with a neat tri-drive budget lock that includes a built-in chamfer for a smooth closing action and high compression, ensuring the integrity of the airtight seal.
